Illustrated journal covers designed to engage readers and reflect scientific impact
Take a look at past journal covers I illustrated for Elsevier. My favorite software to use for my paintings are Clip Studio Paint, Procreate and Adobe Photoshop.
Past Projects for Elsevier
βOn the cover: Wang et al. introduce a soft robotic gripper based on the logarithmic spiral. The robotic tentacle could grab and release objects through simple actuation via cables. Inspired by octopus arms, the device dubbed SpiRobs can be fabricated via 3D printing and is scalable. Based on SpiRobs, the author created and tested a miniaturized gripper, a drone-mounted gripper, and multi-robot arrays that can grasp in a tendril-like fashion.β
On the cover: Neuron presents a special issue on cancer neuroscience. The cover depicts how tumors and the nervous system interact, reciprocally influencing each other's biology. This dynamic crosstalk can modify not only cancer progression and metastasis but also host behavior.
